'Data is Your Friend' is a blog about using student-generated data to drive your teaching. Many school districts mandate the use of data analysis as a part of classroom instruction, but the tools provided by the district may or may not be helpful to individual teachers. Much like good instruction, effective data analysis is not necessarily 'one size fits all,' and teachers should have the freedom to analyze their own data in their own way. The goal of this blog is to inform teachers about how to incorporate data analysis into their routines and to give them the tools and confidence necessary to do what is best for themselves and their students. Since Kelly is a science teacher, you can also expect to biology- and/or science-specific materials and ideas from time to time.
